The Arizona Federation is a competitive
organization of racing pigeon clubs in the Metro
Phoenix area (also known as the Valley of the
Sun). There are several member clubs, consisting
of the Sunburst Racing Pigeon Club, the Arizona
Invitational Racing Pigeon Club,, all of which are
centered on the NW and West sides of the Valley
of the Sun. In addition, the Lost Dutchman
Racing Pigeon Club and the Advantage One
Racing Pigeon Club is located in Gilbert, servicing
the far Southeast corner of the Valley.
The American Racing Pigeon Union is the parent
organization and the Federation races under AU
rules.
The Arizona Federation races the Northwest
course towards Las Vegas and on towards Reno
for the longest races. The race course consists of
arid desert, which is frequently intersected with
mountain ranges. The birds have to cross the
Colorado river and its many canyons for all races
over 230 miles. Races are scheduled in the fall for
young birds from the middle of October to the
middle of December (from distances of 125 to
370 miles). Old bird races start in February and
often run to the end of April (from 170 to 525
miles).

About Us
Arizona Federation of Racing Pigeon Clubs, Inc
Host of the 2011 A.U. Convention
While the races are normally quite challenging,
the course produces honest winners almost every
race, with short-end lofts and long-end lofts often
sharing the same minute on the race report. This
despite 30 to 40 mile survey differences.
The Arizona Federation is proud home of many
of the top one loft competitors in the United
States. An honest indication of the level of
weekly competition amongst its members.
Race results are posted online at the hosting site
of www.racingpigeonmall.com .
The Federation sponsors the Arizona Open
Classic each December, which is one of the best
known and longest running futurity races in
America! The race is usually flown from Beatty,
Nevada 350 miles to the average loft.
